We are so sad that Christmas is over... we've put away almost all the Christmas stuff. Mom still has to take down the Christmas village...maybe tomorrow, but then Christmas will be officially, undeniably over. We'll start counting down the days until next christmas! Hope you are back at the Pole, rested up, and hanging out with the elves and the reindeer. Thank you so much for a great Christmas! We both enjoyed it so much, every single light, tree, present, song, and activity. Thanks for all the great things we got to do as we counted down the days! It all started when we started listening to Christmas music around Thanksgiving...maybe a little before Thanksgiving...like Halloween!
Santa Train in early December with friends is becoming a tradition and this year we had a holiday dinner beforehand at the Ingui's Jingle Balls party. We got to see you twice this weekend, once on the Santa Train and once for a picture and chat at Connor's preschool. Sorry Connor was so banged up, he fell off the swing just before going for pictures... you probably didn't notice since Mannix was crying so much. He'll be more excited next year for sure. Please tell Rudolph that Connor got a picture of him painted on his face at Santa train... his first face painting ever. He wanted it to stay so he could show the grandparents the next day. Thanks for the candy canes!
Mom and Dad wanted a picture of us in front of the tree for the christmas card... and wanted the pets in the photo too. Easier said than done! They quickly decided Sahdow would be more trouble than its worth, but hoped Sebastian would cooperate for a minute or two. Unfortunately, he was not in the mood and didn't look too lively. Here are some of the rejects. We got dressed twice... first set ruined by Sebastian and second set nearly ruined by shaking and trying to eat bell ornaments. Aren't we still cute even when we aren't cooperating?
Dad had fun decorating the yard this year...we had a blow up Santa who talked...not as cool as you, Santa! He talked and scared us a little. And we had a blow up Santa on the roof. Our neighbors actually did more colored lights (not just white lights like last year)...but none like our yard. We forgot to take a picture to show you though. Hopefully you checked it out when you flew by the neighborhood. And we were so excited that you found us in Pennsylvania! It was fun celebrating Christmas with the O'Neills. Gramma had decorated the house and yard so nicely for us. How did you get all those presents in the house without us hearing you? You brought so many things we love and didn't expect. The sleds, clothes, and TOYS! Talking Elmo, remote controlled cars, puzzles, books, geo trax, panda, and of course, the favorite book- Everyone Poops! So much stuff, we loved it all and opening presents was fun for everyone. We had to take a break from presents (Mannix took a nap and Connor didn't want to open anymore, just wanted to play). And there was SNOW! Thanks for the white Christmas- we loved making the minature snowmen family.
And then you left more Christmas presents in NC with Grandma Mary and my great grandparents too? You must think we are special kids! Thanks for letting us share Christmas with the NC family too (Christmas #2). Before we went to Pennsylvania, our parents led the family on Tacky Tinsel Tour- Durham style. There weren't too many great houses,but some we'd never seen before including a Griswald house, and the best was right down the street from the grandparents. Mom and Dad invited everyone over to celebrate on New Years Day, with presents and lunch. Sauerkraut and hotdogs, blackeyed peas, collards and cornbread. Hopefully this will bring health, luck, and wealth to our family in 2010.
