Mannix 1 Month Stats

Yesterday we took Mannix to the pediatrician for his 1 month visit- tough to get everyone ready and out of the house in time and Mannix had to "eat" breakfast while we waited for the doctor... Which led to promptly spitting up on Scott. I think Scott wins for getting spit up on the most...and its a tie between Gramma Marla and Mom for who's gotten pooped on the most.

Anyway, we got compliments on a perfect baby.
Current Weight 11 lbs 5 oz 90th% (started at 8 lbs 14 oz)
Current Length 23 in 95th% (started at 21 in)
Current Head Circumference 39 75th% (started at 36)

Although we have been discouraged that he still sleeps so much and seems fussy most of the time when he's awake, she reassured us that this is perfectly normal and we may have been a little spoiled first time around. Scott jokingly blames Mannix's fussiness on the caffeine I drank during the pregnancy (maybe a little more than I drank first time around, but I did drink more diet sodas this time).

Thank you to everyone who has spent time with us during this first month, especially as Scott has started back to traveling. We couldn't have gotten through so well without your help. Life is challenging with two, but gets better by the day!

Please Send Good Vibes to Grandpa Bobby

While we've been getting used to life with two kids, we've been missing the company of Grandpa Bobby who has been struggling to get over a pneumonia. Please keep Grandpa Bobby and Grandma Shirley in your thoughts and prayers as he is currently admitted at Durham Regional with complications from his recent illness.

He has been sick since the holidays and after two courses of antibiotics was clearly sicker this past week. He has been very tired, weak, losing weight, and having trouble breathing. And missing the magic medicine of Connor hugs and baby snuggles! We have kept Connor at home to give Grandpa and Grandma a rest and a chance to focus on getting better. Grandpa did get to meet Mannix just after he was born, before he started feeling worse again. We wish Grandpa a speedy recovery- there are lots of hugs in his future! We love you!
