It still seems weird to refer to our kids...Its amazing how quickly we became parents of two. It does change life more dramatically than just one...we've only seen little ways it affects us so far. Hard to fit three adults in a car with two carseats, hard to snuggle both kids at the same time when they are both crying, hard to shop at Target with both kids in the shopping cart, hard to know whose stinky diaper needs changing first, etc...You get the idea. But it is also even more amazing how much you can love them both. Twice the snuggles and twice the smiles (Mannix smiles a lot- it can't all be gas)!

Connor has been a bit sick this week- sounds like a GI bug thats been going around, according to the pediatrician. He has not been sick like this before, so its thrown us for a bit of a loop- he's been happy at times to snuggle and read books, but still out of sorts... hopefully he is getting better, but still not really eating like normal. so far, no one else seems to have caught it- we have our fingers crossed! He's been getting lots of mom, dad and gramma time, although he misses his PawPaw. Grandpa Bobby who usually keeps Connor several days a week has been sick with pneumonia the last few weeks, so the timing has worked out well that Connor can be at home while his PawPaw can focus on getting better. We wish him a speedy recovery!
Mannix is doing well- still sleeps most of the day and luckily most of the night. He has several awake periods each day for an hour or so and we've been trying to encourage him to be awake a little more to try to get him to sleep better at night. At his one week visit, he has already gained back to his birth weight (and a little). The pediatrician was very happy with his progress! He loves to be held, eats well (which is going better this time around for mom), and seems to smile when you tickle him or talk directly to him. We know they supposedly only smile because of gas, but I like to think he's smiling at me! Connor seems to have adapted well to being a big brother, although its hard to tell if some of his behavior while he's been sick, might be baby behavior. Time will tell!
Here are some recent photos over the last few days! Enjoy and please come visit:)
