After many days in the hospital, we were able to come home on Friday afternoon. We knew that the minute we walked into the house, our lives would change forever and we were ready for it! First order of business was letting the dogs sniff out the baby... Scott had brought home a blanket and a baby hat from the hospital the day before so they could get used to the baby smell. They gave lots of kisses to Connor and then acted like they hadn't seen us in years! The cats still act like they haven't noticed the baby! And Bailey is just acting neglected and squawking alot more than usual.
After meeting the pets, we took Connor on a tour of the house, most especially the nursery. We had worked hard to prepare an perfect room for him and had been waiting to bring Connor home! I couldn't stop kissing him and snuggling with him. He still sleeps most of the day, when he's not nursing or having his diaper changed. Each day though, he is awake a bit longer, gazing at us and occasionally smiling:)
We have cherished every minute with him!
Every little part of him is perfect:)
We have been taking hundreds of pictures of him, trying to capture every expression.
This picture was taken today- Connor is now two weeks old:) These two weeks have gone by quickly and slowly at the same time! This has been a great adventure so far!
