Our son, Connor Ryan, was born Tuesday morning 12:07 am by C-Section after a long day of labor...helped along by many hours of Grey's Anatomy (thanks Kate) to distract me from the contractions. We tried to get Connor out the old fashioned way, but after 2 1/2 hours of pushing, it became clear that he would not come out that way. So after a long day it was off to the OR to meet our little one.

Scott went with Connor to the nursery and to introduce him to the family. We had lots of visitors that day waiting for Connor to arrive- Margot's Mom and Dad and sister Melissa and brother Ian didn't want to miss the big moment and finally met him at 12:15 am, only a few minutes after he was born! I finally got to hold him around 1 am and haven't wanted to put him down since!
The next couple of days in the hospital are a blur, as I tried to get the hang of breastfeeding, manage my aching body, and tried to sleep when possible. We had lots of visitors who wanted to meet Connor! Margot's family came by daily, including her grandpa's, Aunt Peggy and cousin Maggy. This picture is of Connor with Margot's sister Melissa. Lots of friends came by too, including Amy Nester, Sarah Stone, Hilary Burt, Betsy, Ethan, Elise, and Kate. Our nurses from Labor and Delivery also came to check in on us and to see Connor! No one could resist his red hair!
So far he has slept most of the time when he's not trying to eat. He seems to be a very happy content baby...although we know this can change quickly! Now that we are home, he is spending a little more awake time. We love holding him and snuggling! He is so perfect and has been a dream come true!
Connor with his proud parents Scott and Margot!
