In early February, we were able to take a family trip to Charleston SC. Margot had a work conference, so we spent two nights at Charleston Place Hotel so she was close to the conference. Charleston Place was a perfect example of southern hospitality and a refreshing change, located in the heart of historic Charleston. We were so pleased at how well Connor did during this stay...although his sleep pattern was a little disrupted. The weather was beautiful and we explored the city. Margot loved the quaint gardens hidden behind wrought iron gates. Connor loved exploring a city playground we happened across and even tried his first swing. Scotts favorite part was visiting another state as a family...we hope to visit all 50 states together one day! So far about 12 states marked off the map! We've planned two vacations in the next year which will take us to new states- Tennessee and Wisconsin!
In new cities, we enjoy activities like walking across bridges, visiting lighthouses, and eating at local favorite restaurants. We didn't get a chance to walk across the Charleston Bridge, but definitely will next time we visit! We visited two different lighthouses and went shell collecting.
Sullivans Island Lighthouse was definitely the ugliest lighthouse we've seen, however Morris Island made up for it- 1600ft offshore!
We found a perfect baby sand dollar for our perfect happy baby!
The weekend was perfectly relaxing and insired us to plan more vacations and adventures!
