Watch Out World!

Connor's world has totally changed as he has become more comfortable walking. He is walking all over the house and trying his best to get into trouble. He's emptying drawers, pulling out pots and pans, and trying to tackle the pets. He's not content to stay still... He has a few bumps and bruises to show for his adventures, but it hasn't slowed him down! We are so excited for the next few months and all the adventures it may bring. We have a trip to Tennessee next week, Connor's birthday coming up, lots of summer cookouts, and maybe buying a new house. And before we know it, it will be time for our trip to Hawaii to see Mandy! So much to be happy about!

Snow Then Summer

For Easter, we went to Pennsylvania, hoping for snow! The day before Easter, six inches of snow fell- just enough for some outdoor snow adventures.

We went for a walk in the mountains where they have recently begun mining again for coal. As we got to the top of the mountain, we found the area they are mining and were able to look down into a large pit that is being mined.

We were impressed by the Earth Mover Dump Trucks...its amazing that they can get them up and down the mountain!

Connor's favorite snow activity was sledding in the backyard, courtesy of Dad. Scott made a trail through the yard and pulled us around. On one side, he was able to run and get us going fast... snow was flying and Connor was laughing! I know he's going to love rollercoasters one day like his Daddy!

Its amazing the difference a few weeks and a few hundred miles can make. The last two weekends have been gorgeous in NC. Last week with Pat, Marla, and Mandy in town, we went to Duke Gardens to enjoy the weather. The weather has been perfect for picnics, cookouts, and hanging out with family! My favorite time of year!!

Spring Has Sprung!

Hi everyone! Hope you are enjoying the spring weather! We have had a wonderful month and have some new pictures we'd like to share. Connor is "blossoming" every day and we are amazed at his rapid developments. He stopped his military crawl in favor of real crawling last month after his first day in the grass! Sebastian has found a new friend...Connor tries to throw the ball and Sebastian doesn't seem to mind that it only goes a foot or two.

Now he is well on his way to walking- cruising around the house and standing has given way to a few small steps. He walks around the house behind his toy car and loves every second of it, especially if he's headed towards one of the pets!

Update- And today, after practicing standing and small steps, Connor started walking today! Just a few shaky steps at a time when he gets carried away cruising around the living room, but you can tell how amused he is with himself! Even when he is standing and then falls down, he just smiles and laughs, rolls over, then pulls himself up and starts moving again! Its amazing to see the progress he is making every single day. He has been having trouble sleeping through the night the last couple of weeks, which usually happens before a new developmental milestone. Last night he finally slept through the night again which was refreshing after weeks of getting up two to three times each night.

One of his favorite activities is bubble baths...our master bathroom renovation was completely worth it! He's a clean boy! He would play in there for hours if we let him!
Connor has been lucky to spend the last few weeks with his Grandma O'Neill, who came home with us after Easter. Its been wonderful having her here keeping us company and playing with Connor. He had been so lucky in life to have folks lining up to spend time with him! We are spending this weekend also with Grandpa O'Neill and Mandy visiting from Hawaii. Let's hope for a sunny weekend!
